Bethlehem Youth Group

The youth group at Bethlehem Lutheran Church remains quite active for a small congregation. The youth perform service to our church by planting flowers and cleaning up the church yard in the spring. Many of our youth also serve as acolytes and ushers during the church services.

Fundraising projects mainly have to do with meals- preparing and serving Easter Breakfast between worship services, "a pre-Mother's Day" dinner, a spaghetti dinner in fall, and before Wednesday evening services in the Lenten and Advent seasons.

Activities that the youth enjoy during the year include a variety of outings: bowling/pizza, movie, and the favorite of most, the annual week-long youth trip. Places the youth group has traveled to recently have been Yellowstone National Park, Glacier National Park, and Big Horns National Forrest. Youth from both Bethlehem and Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Spring Lake Park, along with the adult leaders, make their annual pilgrimages. The youth are divided into groups-each with an adult leader. The groups take turns with cooking the meals and cleaning up. While on the trips, the youth visit historical sites, go hiking, swimming, and shopping, and spend time during each day for Bible Study.
